Good value, good espetada at reasonable prices. Good spot to watch the new year fireworks from. The viewpoint is just outside the restaurant.

Fantastic local restaurant. The waiters are really helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure that you have a great meal. We loved the meat skewers - cooked beautifully and hung from the ceiling over your table, the chicken grilled on your own mini table top grill and the fried maize which is a must have. Portion sizes are large - so you may want to share. Can't rate more highly.

I love the chicken and the caril rise.very cheap and fantastic food.better go by car but there is also local bus.20/25 minutes by bus from the center.

Best PiriPiri chicken ever! We keep coming back for more. The cooked chicken is served on a small charcoal stove with a small pot of homemade PiriPiri sauce. You then keep basting the chicken which keeps super hot for ages. Just as well as the portions are generous. Price wise much cheaper than the touristy centre of town which more than compensates for the 15 taxi. Really don't understand why more visitors do not frequent this gem.

Authentic Madeira bbq.All the food was delicious and the service was great. Staff was very patient with our questions and modifications. We had some dietary restrictions in our group.

Over expectations !So good, so typical, you see only locals, and the waiters speak many languages and are so nice, best experience in the island
